Every time it snows, I get into this peaceful, contemplative mood. We had flurries all day today - nothing sticking so far, but it was lovely to see snowflakes before Christmas - a great mood-setter!
Most of our gifts are wrapped and around the tree. It's amazing how giving gets sweeter with age, and it's tempting to spoil the people you love.
I know I said it in my last post, but I am so happy to have friends I can always be honest with, even if they are so few and far between. I had a great time at Kate's place, where we gathered with friends to eat, drink, and generally be merry for her early birthday. I get to celebrate with her twice more. :) I am of the opinion that birthdays should include at least one day of just doing anything you feel like, so we'll see what the birthday girl feels like.
The first day of winter is in one week and two days. With snow already falling, it seems to have come early!
I saw a probable Oscar contending movie today - Black Swan - but I have so many more to see - 127 Hours, The Kids Are All Right, Conviction, The King's Speech, Winter's Bone, Never Let Me Go, All Good Things, The Fighter, True Grit, Another Year, Blue Valentine...
I am on a serious lemonade binge. I love it. All the time.
I am not really a huge phone person - some people have to have the newest model, but I don't really care as long as the functionality is good. But I have to admit...the IPhone has some really awesome features. Reading books for free, having weather at the touch of a button, and being able to check movie times with one touch - these things save a lot of time. I am becoming a fan.
I am reading 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne...one of the many classics I have never read. Quite enjoying it.
I realized today I have been ordering items from Amazon since 2003. LOVE AMAZON.
