I used to get angry and upset easily. Now, it takes a pretty big thing to really upset me. I am quite glad of it - I feel like I have grown and become better. But it seems that when others are upset, they get frustrated with calm reason. They see it as being cold and unfeeling. I'm not cold and unfeeling, but I know that emotions usually don't make sense, so I try to separate them from arguments and be reasonable. Even if someone is going to yell or call names, it seems so transparent - they're upset, and they want me to be upset, so they do those things. I won't do them back, because I don't want us to be upset, I just want resolution.
Good to remember...
"He who establishes his argument by noise and command shows that his reason is weak." - Michel de Montaigne
So logical!! That makes total sense.
